Fishing on Loch Brora
The Hotels maintain 2 boats on Loch Brora that may be hired for trout fishing at £35 per day per boat.
Best known for salmon and sea trout, this 3 mile long 3 basin loch carries a fine head of brownies of the 2/3 to the pound variety with some to 3lb taken each season. Tough fishing well throughout, the lower eastern end has a reputation for consistency. Salmon arrive from spring on with early May and September most favoured.
The larger sea trout arrive in May followed from July onwards by the shoaling finnock. For the most part, salmon appear to prefer the upper loch while sea trout are taken throughout.
Please ask for more information on fishing the loch and river at the hotel.
